INJECTION TRIALS
The injection technique consists in inserting an active compound directly into the xylem of a tree.
The substance is then distributed by the tree’s vascular system to the targeted organs. The advantages of using this method over foliar
spraying are well known today : no drift, no wash off, usable in all meteorological conditions (rainfall or wind), control of the applied dose,
all time accessibility to the orchard and no re-entry requirements.
SPRAYING vs SECURED MICRO INJECTION
From 2011, Cetev has spent significant resource searching for a user friendly alternative to spraying in order to fulfil the needs
of the environment and society, as well as meet regulatory requirements when treating trees.
As a result, the company has developed strong expertise in the micro-injection technique.
We are, today, one of a few trial centres with expertise in designing,
managing and interpreting results of the injection trials.
Thanks to the several years spent experimenting injection within the scope of
collaborative projects (Preamisse, MISPA, CROC, ChatOFor),
our skilled team can provide the necessary support to measure the potential
of injection for your product or evaluate the injection method as a solution for your crops.
